KARACHI (September 05 2008): The SBP President's statement came to rescue the rupee versus the dollar on the currency market on Thursday, dealers said. On the interbank market, the rupee rose by five paisa in terms of the dollar for buying and selling at 76.90 and 76.95, dealers said.
